A splash of color to the annual "Fun Run" fundraiser will certainly brighten up
everyone's day and is sure to be a memory-maker for all.
With the funds raised, we are able to sponsor our many planned event nights, field trips, field day,
5th Grade Camp, school supplies, and Teacher Appreciation!
How the Color Run Works
As the children run their hearts out around an outdoor course, specified individuals will be
applying a cornstarch base color dye as the kids run past. Don't worry - it washes out. White shirts
will be provided by the PTA (worn over the of top their regular clothes). The PTA will be encouraging
them to tie dye their shirts after the event for a long-lasting keepsake.
The kickoff to the Color Run is September 15th. All children will be sent home with packets of
information explaining the fundraiser and to track donations. Daily fundraising goals will be encouraged
and rewarded by both Twister and the PTA. Be sure to ask your experienced students who Twister is and
how she makes this time super fun and memorable for them!
The run will be held on September 30th and lasts about 30-40 minutes (warm up through cool down) and equates to an average of 30 laps.
Online payments will be available and encouraged during the fundraiser. All information for this is available on the website. Click on the 2022 Color Run tab and you be taken directly to the website.
Parents are invited to come out to the Color Run and support their students. The running
times will be announced closer to the run. The kids love to be high fived and cheered over the finish line
by their families.
We are always looking for volunteers and now would be a great opportunity for you to
support your kids in a unique way during this fun event. If you would like to help, please email us at
Thank English Crossing Elementary families and friends for all your support!
Your PTA has big goals instore for the upcoming school year! To meet those goals we are seeking not only membership, but additional funds to support new enrichment opportunities for the students, but also supporting the staff of ECE. Please consider donating any amount you can to help us out.
